Coordinating multi-tier coding and web design competition tracks
Powering the Operating System of a National Tech Hackathon.
How orchestrating national competition tracks, judge protocols, and high-pressure live final pitches ensured a professional, unbiased tournament experience for hundreds of young developers.
"In a competition, the contestants' hard work deserves flawless organization. When the event infrastructure runs smoothly, competitors can focus entirely on delivering their absolute best innovations."
Designing the Competition Mechanics
Organizing IT Fest 2025 required turning abstract rules into a rock-solid operational playbook. Drawing on my background as both an award-winning competitor and student council lead, I helped formulate the tournament rubric, submission timeboxes, anti-plagiarism verification procedures, and staging infrastructure.
Floor Coordination Under the Clock
During the preliminary and final rounds, maintaining tight scheduling was critical. Managing over 150 participants presenting across split breakout rooms required constant liaison with expert judges, timer operators, and tech support. When live streaming audio glitches occurred, our team resolved them within seconds without derailing contestant pitch momentum.
Delivering an Unbiased, Celebratory Finale
The tournament concluded with an electrifying awards ceremony celebrating top student innovators from across Indonesia. Receiving commendation from the judging panel for the event's professional pacing was proof of our team's meticulous preparation and technical discipline.
